Hannah and Becca got home from work and promptly asked me to go to Fazoli's with them...so, of course, we did.  We tried to take a self-portrait outside (with the sign in the background) but the sun was in our eyes.  This is the best of three attempts.  Becca thinks that Hannah looks like she's sneezing!

The Burke Invite was this morning at Walnut Grove park.  We had lots of rain last night and more rain this morning, so the park was very wet and muddy.  The meet got started on time though, and at least it wasn't too hot.  Hannah ran varsity, finishing with an 18:17.  She wanted to go under 18:00, so she was a little disappointed.  She's hoping that will happen next weekend at the Central Invite.  I thought she ran very well.  She finished 35th overall in the varsity race and was the 3rd Burke varsity girl to finish.

Hannah was able to get a sub for work so that she could go to Burke's first home football game tonight.  She met up with some friends at the game.  It was "western night."  I'm not sure what's going on in this picture, I'm just glad that she thought to bring her camera.  There weren't any pictures of the game though!  At half time the game had to be suspended due to lightning, so they'll finish it up tomorrow.  As of tonight, #2 Burke was winning against #1 Millard North!

Tonight was the first pre-meet team dinner for Hannah's cross country team.  Chris Moore and I made the dinner at their house.  The girls got there earlier than we expected, but otherwise it went smoothly.  We had plenty of food for everyone.  I did end up with a lot of extra salad, so I know what we'll be eating at home for the next few days!
