Today we are visiting Washington University in St. Louis.  Wow, we thought Vanderbilt was nice yesterday, but I think that Hannah's fallen in love with Wash U.  Great campus, facilities, town--but kind of pricy.  We'll have to hope for a great finacial aid package if she decides to go here!

Hannah and I started her college search today at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.  It's a nice day and a beautiful campus.  On the downside, it's an awfully long way from Omaha. :(

Joe was so excited to make this t-shirt for Emma's birthday.  He had them specially made and ordered one for each of us--we included Becca's shirt in the picture since we didn't have an actual Becca.  They are Star Trek shirts that include lots of obscure treky references.  Yeah, we're cool.

This is all that survived of the truss that Hannah made for ACE.  She got the highest score for the Burke entries in the contest.  They see how much weight each truss will hold compared to the weight of the truss itself.   Of course, in order to test the strength, they put on weight until it breaks...I guess we should have taken a picture of it before the test!  Anyway, good job, Hannah!
