We got Hannah's violin "tuned up" over the weekend. She keeps one at home to practice with and one at school to play in orchestra. That way she doesn't have to carry her violin back and forth everyday. Her playing test for orchestra will be coming up pretty soon.
Joe and I drove around Omaha for a couple of hours today looking for "roof syles" for Hannah's project in ACE. She needed to find quite a few examples of houses, and between school, work and cross country practice she has only been able to go out a couple of times herself. It was kind of fun seeing some of our old neighborhoods. This particular house probably won't go on her poster, but we agreed that it's really cool.
I picked up Hannah's letter jacket today. She had "orchestra" added to the back, her "academic" B added to the front under her name, and three chevrons that read "state qualifier" added to the sleeve. It looks great, but it's heavy! Now she just has to wait for some cool weather so that she can wear it.
Becca ran some errands this morning, including getting her hair cut. She picked me up at lunch and then we ordered her a pair of shoes and a backpack--gotta love on line shopping!
The cross country girls went to dinner at Fazoli's tonight after practice to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Hannah took her camera and actually used it!
