Hannah showed a beagle named Amy in the parade of "adoptable dogs" at this morning's Walk for the Animals fund raiser for the Humane Society.  I went over to check it out (and to get my picture) but didn't take the dogs.  I think it would have been too much for them to manage.  Lots of people were there as well as lots of dogs.

Hannah went to cross country practice this morning, ate a quick breakfast and then went to the car wash fund raiser for MOST.  She probably could have used a quick rinse herself!  Good thing it wasn't too hot outside today.

What's missing from this picture?  ME!  It's Friday night and all I want to do is snuggle up in my recliner and watch some Top Gear with Joe and Hannah.  Too bad I have to go to work...

There's no school tomorrow for the kids (I have to go to a meeting) so the girls cross country team is having a sleepover tonight.  I doubt if there will be much sleep going on though!  This is actually a picture from the last "sleepover" they had--that night they kidnapped the freshmen.  I'm pretty sure that I heard something about tp'ing the boys' houses when the girls were planning tonights party.  Good thing they have a long weekend.

I was finally able to talk to Becca this morning on skype.  She surprised me by calling while I was on facebook.  I was so excited to talk to her that I forgot to take a snapshot of her during our conversation.  This is a picture of her taken during their first excursion last week.  She's the same old Becca, only now she's in England!

This afternoon was the Creighton Prep Invite XC meet.  In this picture Hannah is almost to the finish line and she's starting to sprint.  She passed two of these girls and finished right next to Lauren (in the Burke jersey).  She was tired of hearing her coach tell her that she needed to "get those girls!"  It must have motivated her, because she got a new personal best time of 17:24.  She says at the next meet she'll pass Lauren too!

I was able to "skype" with Emma for the first time today.  It was nice to talk/see her like that.  We were also hoping to talk to Becca but she is having computer problems.  Hopefully that will be fixed soon so we can all talk together.  Sometimes technology is fun.
