Joe and I went to Lincoln tonight to watch the Iowa/Nebraska basketball game.  It was a lot of fun and the Hawkeyes won the game.  It was almost 11:30 before we got home; I'll be tired tomorrow!

We got a package from Becca today!  She sent a card (that I'll open on my birthday), English tea and chocolate and a fashion magazine for Hannah, so she can be "fashion forward!"  The best part, however, was the letter that was in the package!  Love you lots, Beccaboo.

Poor Hannah had a really long and stressful day today.  She had a huge stack of homework all due tomorrow.  She took a study break with the pail of ice cream!  (She only ate a few bites before putting it back, but I like the bucket picture.)

Tonight Joe called to tell me to go outside and look in the western sky.  The moon, Jupiter and Venus were all visible together.  Pretty cool.

The girls were ready to go to Cracker Barrel and eat after a long day at finals.  They stopped for a quick picture before heading for the van.  Dinner, as usual, was a lot of fun.

Hannah's ready to go and swim her 200IM.  She wasn't happy with that swim, but her two relay swims were both very good.  Unfortunately none of the relay teams are back tomorrow, but we'll be there cheering on the Tasha, Dana and the boys.

Hannah's ready for State tomorrow.  She is rested and has a positive attitude about her swims.  This year there are 5 girls with individual times, the most for Burke in 10 years.  Now if only the relay teams make it back on Saturday.

We had today off of school, so decided to go shopping for "the dress."  It was another marathon session and no luck finding one that fit well and she liked.  This one looked so nice from the front but had a huge black zipper that ran down the back and looked so tacky.  That was how most of the day went.  Better luck next time, I guess.

This is Wally, our class guinea pig.  I had to stop over at school to give him some extra food since he didn't get much on Friday.  Silly pig, he always acts like he's starving.  He must be related to Jessie!

Ok, so I didn't get any special candies for Valentine's day, but it's ok because now the Reeses eggs are here!  We bought two bags at Walmart today--I doubt if they'll last until Easter.

I caught a pretty bad cold/flu this week.  I'm loading up on the meds and trying not to be around Joe or Hannah so they don't get sick.  I hope it doesn't last as long as my February cold did last year.  Yuck!

Well today started really early!  Hannah called at a few minutes after midnight to tell us that her car had been broken into while she was at a swim party at Mitch's house.  Joe went over to help her and while he was there, the police caught the guys!  Hannah was able to get back most of her things.  We will have to get her car window repaired, but at least we aren't replacing all of her things too.  Nobody took a picture for me, but I did get a police report.

Hannah got to walk in the Captain's Walk at Metro today.  She also swam well and finished first in her heat of the 200IM.  Hopefully that will carry on for State.

After 25 years our old Maytag dryer bit the dust this week.  Joe found us a newer one from a guy at work.  He had a little trouble getting out from behind it after he hooked it up!  Hannah actually took this picture for me after she stopped laughing! (Then she helped him with the dryer.)

There was a "Good Luck at Metro" team dinner at Burke tonight for the swim teams.  The girls and Coach Tyson posed for a quick picture after the dinner.  The swimmers each got a goodie bag and the parents made signs for the team and hung them around the school. Hopefully it'll be a great meet.

I'm trying to add one thing a month to make my lifestyle more healthy.  In January I added drinking more milk and for February I'm trying to drink more water.  I wonder what I can drink in March?

Joe entered the chili cook off conpetition at Holy Cross today.  He got lots of compliments on his white chicken chili, but didn't win.  Pastor Jan was the winner this year and was very excited about that.

We haven't had too much snow this winter, but today we got pretty big snowstorm.  The All City music festival had to be cancelled due to the snow and ice.  The only thing that would have been better is if we could have gotten a snow day!

I had just been thinking that Hannah hadn't gotten as much college mail as Emma and Becca when I walked past her while she was checking her email.  She isn't getting as much mail because it's all coming to her on the computer!  She said that she gets several emails a day from colleges.  It's overwhelming to think about which colleges to consider.  I'm glad it's not me doing it!

Hannah is really liking the new Kindle that she got from Grandma and Grandpa.  It makes her reading assignments so much easier to do.  Before she would have to sit at the computer to read her AP World and now she can relax in the recliner instead!

Happy Half Birthday, Becca!  (or B-Train as her flatmates call her)  I'm so happy that the kids in Nottingham with Becca are such a nice group.  They made her a cake and helped celebrate her half birthday since they won't be together in July.

Hannah is really focused here for her leg of the 200 Free Relay.  The team still hasn't made this state cut yet and is hoping that they will today.
