Hannah and I visited the University of Nebraska at Lincoln today.  We were both impressed with the school, people and facilities.  Right now I'd say UNL and Wash U are pretty much tied for Hannah's first choice in colleges.  I have to admit that I'm very surprised (and happy) to say that!  If she decides on UNL, I just might be able to get a Husker shirt!!

Joe took the cover off of the pool tonight after work.  He didn't have time to start the pump, so the leaves at the bottom will have to just wait for awhile.

Joe dropped off a few things at church tonight for the garage sale.  I had wanted to bring quite a bit over, but I've had such a bad cold this week that I couldn't get things ready.  The proceeds from the sale will go toward the youth group trip this summer.

Hannah and I went to I-Hop today for brunch so she could tell me all about the dance and post prom party at Burke.  Her hair still looked nice today so she left it up until her shower.  Of course, I posted pictures on fb to show her off a little!

It's finally prom night!  Hannah and Chris look so nice together on our deck.  Hannah had lots of fun getting ready for tonight--getting her hair done, painting her nails, putting on the outfit.  I'm glad that they were willing to pose for lots of pictures!

Hannah and I went shopping this weekend for her accessories for her prom dress.  Today we found the perfect necklace and flower clips for her hair.  She was so excited that she had to try it all on tonight.

Today is Friday the 13th.  The day went along just fine until I went to work at B&S and discovered that they had implemented a new computer system which had a lot of bugs to work out.  It made for a really long evening~

Joe found a case of Old Style beer next to someone's trash this morning while he was walking the dogs.  He couldn't let that go to the dump, so he picked it up and carried it with them as they went on their walk.  I can't imagine what the neighbors would have thought about him taking his beer for a walk with the dogs!  :)

Hannah has been working hard on her project for ACE.  The competiion is in a couple of weeks.  She hasn't told her teacher that she won't be in this class next year.  It's kind of a shame that is won't fit into her schedule because she enjoys the class.

Hannah played in her first doubles match today with Simran.  They didn't win the match, but did win a couple of the games.  Hannah was focused and ready for the return in this picture.

Joe finally started wearing his new dress pants today.  In a dramatic mood, he decided to burn the old ones in the fire pit.  That caused quite a big flame up and cloud of smoke.  If I hadn't been worried about starting a bon fire, I would have asked Joe to burn the outfit that he was wearing as well!

I took Dexter to the vet today to see if there was something that was causing him to throw up so much.  The vet couldn't find anything wrong so hopefully the new food that we are trying will solve the problem.  He's lost weight but according to the vet, he's now an "elderly cat" so that's not unusual.

Hannah played in her first tennis match today.  She tried hard, but didn't win any of the games.  I was surprised at how quiet the whole area is during the matches.  I don't know if we will be able to let Joe come to any!

Unfortunately we have had to buy a lot of Resolve carpet cleaner lately.  Dexter has been getting sick a lot.  Emma thinks that he looks thin too.  I'm worried that there might be something wrong with him.

Hannah and her friend, Kacy both have such hectic schedules that they don't get to hang out together too often.  It was great to see Kacy for a couple of hours today.

Hannah takes her ACT test on April 14th, so she's been studying a lot.  This morning she took a practice test.  She didn't get the score that she hoped for, but the kitchen table isn't exactly a great "test environment."  I know that she'll do fine.

Hannah and I are back in Omaha today.  She and Emma decided to have smoothies for a snack. (Emma is not adding the Big House Red to them!)  I forced them to pose for a pix of the day--gotta love those forced smiles!

Hannah's visit to Missouri Science and Technology was longer than we expected today.  She got to see a lot of the campus and facilities.  This was her least favorite of the schools that we've visited so far.  Too small of a town and too many engineering students for her taste.  It's good that we came to see what this type of college has to offer.

Today we are visiting Washington University in St. Louis.  Wow, we thought Vanderbilt was nice yesterday, but I think that Hannah's fallen in love with Wash U.  Great campus, facilities, town--but kind of pricy.  We'll have to hope for a great finacial aid package if she decides to go here!

Hannah and I started her college search today at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.  It's a nice day and a beautiful campus.  On the downside, it's an awfully long way from Omaha. :(
