Well, I'm happy to say that I've created another photo bug!  I asked Becca to get me the camera tonight so that I could download some pictures.  She assumed that I wanted to take some candid, random snapshots so she started doing just that!  Thanks Becca, I needed that!

The girls were having some quality basement time tonight.  Becca had challenged Hannah to a game of Mario Kart and Emma was happy to be the cheering section.  Needless to say, there was plenty of shouts and laughter coming from the basement tonight!

After a morning of working in the basement, I decided that we should have lunch out.  Of course, the first suggestion was "Fazoli's!"  It's amazing how resigned the girls are about "we need to take a picture before we leave."  They were even willing to smile!

Emma and Becca decided to hang out in the pool for awhile this afternoon.  They were willing to pose for a quick picture (or two) but the water wasn't really warm enough to spend too much time in the pool.

Today we got up early and hit the road back to Omaha.  We stopped in Paxton, NE at Ole's for an early lunch.  It has lots of stuffed heads from big game mounted all over the walls.  We got a picture of Becca with a giraffe and Joe with a buffalo (of course) but Emma wouldn't stand by the moose for a picture!

Becca's home!  Well, almost home.  Joe, Emma and I drove to the Denver airport today to pick her up this evening.  Her flight from Denver to Omaha had been cancelled and we didn't want to wait until Sunday.  Her flight from Iceland was only a little delayed, but it seemed like forever before she came through the gates.  Welcome home, Beccaboo!

Hannah and I went shopping this afternoon.  We were looking for a new dress for her to wear to the graduation parties this weekend.  We found some pretty ones at Von Maur.  This is the one for Satruday.  She looks really nice in it.  Hopefully someone will take a picture of her at the party.

Once again I've made a huge salad!  I alway have to have Hannah "help" me finish them off.  I just find too many good things to add to the lettuce.  Unfortunately today Hannah is at work so I'll do the best that I can on my own.

Joe, Hannah and I picked up Emma in Grinnell today and drove to Iowa City to meet Mom and Dad at Suzi's house.  We went out to dinner to celebrate Emma's graduation from Grinnell tomorrow.  Before dinner we were hanging out at Suz's and somehow we all ended up in the kitchen--it never fails!  Grandma Monkman had it right when she made sure that her kitchen was the biggest room in the house!

Hannah volunteered at the state track meet today.  She helped hold starting blocks for the runners.  Afterwards she rushed off to meet Chris to go to graduations parties.  She didn't want to miss the bouncy house at Gabby's party!  (Hannah says she wants one at her party!)

I really thought today's picture of the day would be about the last day of school--until I came home and discovered that Joe had been working on the flooring!  Forget about the last day, this is much bigger and more exciting!

Ok, so this morning we started school at 9:05 with 9 students, by 10:15 we had 6 kids with diarrhea and were calling parents faster than we could clean up the messes.  The nurse called all of the families; we used half a can of disinfectant spray on the bathrooms and toys; we took the kids out to the playground while the custodian further deep cleaned the room; we moved our pet guinea pig outside because of all the disinfectant spray.  A new record number of poopy pants was set--we went out for lunch.

Hannah made a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting for mother's day and she can't keep away from it!  I caught her sitting in front of the open fridge door snitching bites out of the pan!  Silly goose!

It was Hannah's first day at her new job.  She is working Player's Club this summer.  It is another country club, but the manager is more organized so hopefully things will go smoothly this summer.

Hannah had a busy night tonight with the end of season tennis party and the awards ceremony for ACE.   She decided to go to the party for awhile then drive to TAC for the awards ceremony.  Joe met her there after work.  I'm glad she went and that Joe brought the camera because she won 1st place in her category!

Joe had to spend a good part of the day working on his car today.  He went down to Ronny's for some advise.  Luckily they were able to get her running better.  I suggested that he might need to look for a newer car--"nope, Mary Kay's fine."

It was the last match of the season this afternoon.  I was able to get a pretty good group picture before the girls started playing.  Hannah ended her season on a great note: winning her singles match and playing with Anna in the #1 doubles match, which they also won!  Joe was able to come and watch with me. I don't know who was the most excited about Hannah's wins--Hannah, us or her coach!

Joe was finally able to go to one of Hannah's tennis matches this afternoon.  Unfortunately she didn't play as well as she had been, so she was disappointed.  Hopefully she will play better at the next one.

Hannah and Evy played a great doubles match today at Marian.  They played last so the rest of the team was able to watch and cheer (quietly) for them.  The Marian girls ended up winning, but not by much.
